The South Carolina Infant Mental Health Association (SCIMHA) invites you to join with national experts to examine practices and policies that can better support infant and early childhood mental health in South Carolina.  This event is planned in conjunction with SAMHSA's Children's Mental Health Awareness Day. 

Lunch is included with registration: SCIMHA member $30, Non-Member $50, Student $20

Professionals from multiple disciplines will explore how connections between very young children and their primary caregivers lay the foundation for a lifetime of social and emotional health. The event will feature a Keynote Address by Drs. Charles and Paula Zeanah, followed by a panel discussion on the role of state leaders to support the social and emotional health of babies and young children, and two additional afternoon presentations.

Dr. Charles Zeanah, Jr. is Executive Director of Tulane Institute for Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health and editor of Handbook of Infant Mental Health

Dr. Paula Zeanah is Research Director of University of Louisiana’s Cecil J. Picard Center for Child Development and Lifelong Learning
