or

July 29, 2019, 10:00am- 11:30am EST

Please join the SCIMHA Endorsement team as we introduce the EASy application system and next steps to Endorsement!

Registered Endorsement Seekers will hear from SCIMHA's contracted Endorsement Coordinator Jean Cimino about connecting SCIMHA's mission and activities to your work, explaining how the IMH Endorsement is relevant to the infant and early childhood workforce, how to differentiate and choose between the different IMH Endorsement categories, and identify next steps necessary to begin the IMH Endorsement application process.

Jean has spent the last 16+ years working in the early childhood health and safety field as a public health professional. In the early part of her career she managed a national health and safety curriculum for state-based child care health consultants to ensure that children in care are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. She then co-managed a set of national health and safety standards to support quality improvement for early care and education settings.

Through these roles, Ms. Cimino has provided training and technical assistance to a variety of early childhood stakeholder groups, including but not limited to caregivers/teachers, families, health care professionals, licensing professionals/regulators, national private organizations, policymakers, State Departments of Education and local school administrators, States and localities who fund subsidized care and services for income-eligible families, and faculty researchers.

Ms. Cimino is currently the Director of Endorsement & Special Projects for the Colorado Association for Infant Mental Health through which she has expanded the growth of the IMH-E® to a variety of disciplines across the state. In May 2017, Jean became Endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Mentor – Policy. She is excited to partner with SCIMHA to support the launch of the IMH Endorsement to infant and early childhood professionals across South Carolina.
