Nicole Daughhette initially moved to South Carolina to pursue her passion of English at Clemson University. After a brief period of teaching English at Clemson University Nicole realized she wanted to pursue other passions. Nicole gained her Master's in Community Counseling from Clemson University and has worked in “traditional clinical settings” leading substance abuse groups at the Phoenix Center as well as completing assessments and diagnosing mental health illnesses at Behavioral Health in Pickens County. Hired on as an HFA Home Visitor with the Parenting Place in 2013, Nicole fell in love with home visitation; her heart found it’s place and treasure. She briefly left The Parenting Place in 2 014 only to “come home” in 2016 and is still there loving that she is able to serve families on a daily basis. In addition to her two graduate degrees, Nicole Guttermuth is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a facilitator for the Art Therapy agency and program, A Window Between Worlds, located in Ventura, CA. In November 2018, Nicole also completed her supervision to earn her SC LPC.
Please join Dr. Daughhetee as she presents on her work around home visiting and the positive impacts on development of the infant brain.
