Webinar Description:

Join Sherrie Dueno as we explore books and resources that help promote a positive cultural identity for African American children in early childhood settings. Diverse literacy development within early childhood settings impacts the positive development of children's identity within social groups. Building strong family and community bonds through literature influences a child's mental health for future success.

Upon completion of this online discussion, participants will be able to:

1. Identify books and resources that support African American cultural identity.

2. Develop an action plan to increase the number of books in early childhood settings that support African American cultural identity.
