Help Me Grow South Carolina has built a reputation as a strong community asset since its establishment in 2008 as one of Help Me Grow National's first affiliates. Join State Director Jane Witowski to learn how Help Me Grow SC is able to demonstrate quantifiably its broad reach and cost savings across multiple sectors. Help Me Grow's first Return on Investment tool was developed by Help Me Grow National Center in partnership with Manatt Health. Help Me Grow South Carolina is one of only 12 selected affiliates nationwide as the first cohort to use the new tool.
Upon completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Articulate the broad reach of Help Me Grow SC and how it may align with their work 2. Understand why communities need Help Me Grow SC 3. Develop ideas about how they can support the spread of Help Me Grow South Carolina
About Our Speaker: Jane Witowski, MA Director, Help Me Grow South Carolina
Jane Witowski is an experienced and passionate leader, dedicated to creating equitable, high quality systems for all children. She was instrumental in bringing Help Me Grow to South Carolina in 2008 in the system's initial expansion phase and has overseen its growth since. As director of Help Me Grow South Carolina, Witowski manages the system's statewide expansion. The affiliate has successfully integrated its work into multiple state systems and developed new funding streams under her leadership.
Prior to her work with Help Me Grow SC, Witowski oversaw a multi-million dollar grant project known as Promoting Resources in Developmental Education, which served as the foundation for Help Me Grow SC. She holds an M.A. from Rowan University and a B.A. from University of Richmond. She lives in Greenville with her husband, Jerry. They have one grown daughter and two granddaughters. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys reading, listening to all sorts of music, traveling (especially cruising) and discovering new wines.
