  • An understanding of what collaborative practice is, as define by the SC Department of Education Family Engagement Framework
  • Understand why are collaborative practices vital when engaging the ML communities of SC
  • Strategies to enhance collaborative efforts

Presenter:

Lydia Carnesale, Learning Engagement Coordinator

Lydia Carnesale is a mother of 4 children and a doctoral candidate with USC, in the College of Education in Language and Literacy. She works for the SC Department of Education as a Multilingual Learning Engagement Coach, supporting ML families, children and educators in understanding best practice when engaging diverse language and cultures. Her research and work involves long term advocacy for families and promoting teacher retention through weaving classroom and community.
